I'm now working with Prof. Fujimoto
on ad-hoc distributed simulations.
We're focusing on applying this new paradigm on transportation network
in order to use simulation to predict future events
and prevent unexpected/unpleasant incidents (e.g., traffic jam) from happening.
We also pay attention to applying this paradigm on queueing network
in order to show that ad-hoc distributed simulations are a general simulation paradigm.
In 2007 fall, I had a mini-project with Rosa Arriaga and Santosh Vempala. It's about random projection on audio stimuli. The main purpose is to understand how human beings distinguish different types of music. I was working with on VoIP and IPv4/IPv6 transition related topics with Prof. Yi-Bing Lin (a nice researcher, teacher, and most important -- mentor!) Though "was," I'm still interested in issues regarding to system and networking (either computer network or cellular network). | |
